PIPA

A four string lute that dates back 2,000 years,
it has a 12 -tone chromatic scale.
It takes over 70 techniques to the master.
The strings are tuned A-D-E-A.

ERHU

A Chinese violin, popular as a solo instrument,
that has two strings with a bow clasped between them.
More than 700 years old.

SHENG

A Chinese reed instrument,

ZHENG

One of the first Chinese plucked instruments -
about 2,300 years old. It has 21 horizontal strings.
